Elaine Gibson PDF Print E-mail

1202_ElainGibsonOur precious Elaine; wife, mother, daughter and sister, born January 22, 1951, was liberated from the ravaging effects of diabetes on July 23, 2009. She passed peacefully with her family by her side, beyond this mortal existence in her return, to again be able to walk beside her heavenly father, her parents; Darwin and Alta Stratton, and her son Kyle.

She married her best friend and soul mate, Mack Gibson on September 29, 1969, and the marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple.

Her greatest joy and accomplishment was her family of 4 children and 5 grandsons. She loved each one of them and was so proud of them. She felt a great deal of joy and pride in her work with her kids at Three Falls Elm. Her faith was unfailing while she dealt with complications from diabetes. She always had a smile, no matter how much physical pain she felt. She always made you feel so good to visit her, because you always felt so loved.

We will miss you so much until we all meet again. We will miss your smiles, your laugh and your strength. We love you.

Elaine is survived by her sweetheart, Mack Gibson; her children Jody Heid (Bret) Beagley, Hurricane, and Cody, also of Hurricane; her five precious grand babies; Chance, Cole, B.J., Daxten and Ostin; her sisters, Aldean (Dennis) Wilcox, Roosevelt, UT, Pearl (Rick) Wright, Hurricane, and Annie (John) Reeve, Hurricane. She is also survived by her many loving brother and sisters-in-laws, and her nephews and nieces that will never forget their “Aunt Laine.”

She is preceded in death by her son Kyle, parents, Darwin and Alta Stratton, her brother Clayton and her niece Candy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at the Hurricane 10th Ward, 1178 South 700 West. There will be a viewing at the Hurricane 10th Ward from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening, July 27, 2009 and on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
