Larry H. Gardner To Be Featured At “Why I Believe” Series on Sunday, June 21st Fireside At The Tabernacle 7:00 P.M.

This special Sunday evening program is free and the public is invited.

Mr. Gardner comes to us with an outstanding resume.  He is a St. George native, attending Dixie High School and Dixie College.  He earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees at Brigham Young University.  He then spent the next 30 years in the Church Education System as an Institute and Seminary teacher, mainly in the St. George area.

Larry spent 14 years (1993-2007) as a member of the St. George City Council, helping to forge the policies which have developed the forward-looking city that is St. George today. He is currently Manager for Dean Gardner Investments and DeMar Ranch, which is a major landholder in Pine Valley. He is a great-great grandson of Robert Gardner, whose bronze sculpture was recently placed in the round-about at Tabernacle and Main.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he has served as Bishop of the 16th Ward in the St. George East Stake and Stake President of the Dixie College Stake.  He has a new calling, beginning July 1, which will take him to Billings, Montana, for the next 3 years as Mission President.

Larry is married to the former Carol Ann Barton.  They are the parents of 6 children and 10 grandchildren.
