Brendan Dalley to address Chamber |

This Thursday, July 2, our luncheon speaker will be Brendan Dalley, from the University of Phoenix. He will be speaking on “The Science of Influence: How to increase productivity at work, home, and in life.” Brendan said people always get a little leery when they hear words like influence and persuasion, conjuring up images of manipulating people, pulling strings, etc. However, the truth of the matter is, we use these skills every day. Whether it is a sales pitch, negotiation, or figuring out what’s for dinner, persuasion and influence are integral parts of our lives. Brendan will be taking a fun and practical look at the psychological factors behind saying yes. We will be looking at give and take, win-win scenarios, and how to get there. This is a great opportunity to fine tune your skills, and have fun doing it.

The luncheon is open to everyone, and will be at the Dixie State College Hurricane Branch, located at 112 S. 700 West in Hurricane. The luncheon starts at noon and last for about an hour. Cost is $10 per person, and includes a scrumptious lunch provided by Lin’s. I hope to see you there!
